Skye Events are a charitable organisation with the primary aim of bringing people together in fitness and friendship, to promote physical activity and to benefit our community. Our events could not take place without the support of our Islanders, whether that be voluntary groups marshalling, people taking part, or family and friends just having a fun day out as spectators.

The money we raise supports Skye Events and the work we do, and what surplus profit we raise, we commit to donate to local charities and community groups.  In return for these donations we ask that each charity or group provide four or more volunteers to help marshal during at least three of our four events during the year.

To be equitable with our charitable giving, we want to give all organisations, big and small, the opportunity to make an application for funding each year.  We will select up to ten small charities who will each receive a minimum of £350.

If you would like to be considered as a beneficiary of our Skye Events Community Fund, we just ask that you submit this simple form and return it to us by 12 noon on Wednesday 15th November 2023.

If you have received funding from Skye Events in the past, we encourage you to make a further application.  Successful applicants may receive 50% of their funding at the end of February 2023, with the remainder, or its entirety, at the end of June 2023.  Remember when you apply, that we will need you to provide at least four volunteer marshals for at least three of our four races during the year.  Without this help, we cannot do what we do, raise the funding that we raise, or distrubute funding via our Community Fund.

Skye Events Calendar of Events for 2023 are:  The Skye Santa Dash: Saturday 2nd December, Race Dunvegan: Saturday 23rd March, 40th Anniversary Skye Half Marathon & 10K Saturday 8th June, The Staffin Triathlon Saturday 31st August.

We endeavour to donate to as many groups as we are able, but should we be over-subscribed, the decision of the Committee is final.  Successful applicants for the 2023 Skye Events Community Fund will be notified by Friday 17th November 2023.
